Noticed that one of my aft beam blocks was cracked. What a drama disassembling beams and floor on the water. Replaced with end-grain laminated red oak (all I could find). Four coats of epoxy, one layer of 6 oz glass, and four coats of paint should see it right. Also repainted all of the cockpit floor while disassembled.
You can see the alu main beam setup and dolphin striker with the floor removed.
Those silicon bronze screws are $2.50 a piece!
Dry fit.
How are you liking the aluminum I-Beams? I just got my Tiki 21 and am looking to replace my beams with aluminum I-Beams as well.
