is a great spot to stop for lunch or to shelter from the prevailing NW winds. I don't seem to ever see boats in Pt Diablo cove (just to the east of Point Diablo), perhaps because of the strong currents and rocky bottom, which are not the best for anchor holding.

It is a favorite spot for Harbor Seals. There is a tiny cove within a cove that the Harbor Seals seem to like (with really interesting geology).

Its a very striking place to hang out, and about as exclusive as it comes - I don't even see the usual hikers around and wonder if there are even tracks down to the shore.

So, if you are looking for some seclusion and quality seal time - give Diablo Cove a visit.
