Sunday September 18 2011 was the big day - picking up my "new" Tiki 21 from previous owner and outstanding gentlemen Jim in Downtown San Francisco. There was great anticipation for the delivery sail to the boat's new home - 25 nautical miles up the Bay in the Carquinez Strait - but the forecast Wind Warning did not eventuate and I had to motor the whole distance in calm and hot conditions. I got a little wind assist from time to time, but I'll have to wait for another day to test out the sailing characteristics of the Tiki.
The boat was christened at its new home by the Chief Executive and her little helpers - her new name is "Little Cat".
