The Boat
The Tiki is only a couple of years old and was built in 6mm marine ply and fiberglass composite. She is beautifully made, but needs a bit of a clean up and some tweeking of the running rigging and sail controls (I'm more obsessive than former owner Jim). Little Cat is built to plan, but with a couple of distinctions. The main beams are to plan, but are constructed of welded aluminum (see bottom picture) - I like this mod as the standard wooden beams are the source of many maintenance issues. The mast is also aluminum and is a rotating mount which assists performance of the wing sail, and makes the mast easier to raise.
