Another Island

No wind again. Tried one run across Suisun in 4 knots faltering breeze, and managed to hold course despite a 3 knot cross current. But the wind died entirely, so fired up the motor and went exploring.

Took a close run past the Suisun bar wreck again - I wonder what the story is here? Is that a fishing boat with the outrigger poles? Continued up the Bay against the ebb tide and all the way around Ryer Island. My mission was finding good spots for summer visits with the family - found some with trees overhanging the water and solid looking ground (rare on the Suisun marsh islands).

Picked up the ebb tide on the downhill run back to the Martinez Bridge at 7 knots on half throttle. Hit 7.8 knots under the bridge  which means the tide is running at about 4 knots through here!
